Full-Time Senior Accountant Responsibilities in Pune
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and filing GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns) accurately and on time.
- Handling input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation and maintaining GST-related records.
- Preparing and filing TDS returns and ensuring compliance with all TDS provisions.
- Verifying and recording credit notes and debit notes as per GST and accounting norms.
- Maintaining daily accounting entries in Tally / ERP system (sales, purchase, receipts, payments, journal entries).
- Performing Bank Reconciliation statements (BRS) and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
- Handling vendor and customer account reconciliation regularly.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly and yearly Financial Statements.
- Supporting the Finance Head during audits and ensuring all statutory compliances are met.
- Monitoring and managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensuring proper documentation and record keeping for all financial transactions.
- Identifying and suggesting improvements in Accounting Processes for better efficiency.
Experience Required for Senior Accountant with GST Experience
Requirements for Senior Accountant Jobs in Pune
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA (Finance).
- Experience: 4–8 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and finance.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP / Busy / SAP and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
